I hope you are all keeping well in these worrying times. I have been keeping up with news on COVID -19 and the following is based on current guidelines DHHS guidelines and recommendations regarding preventing COVID - 19 in the workplace.
The situation with the Corona Virus is an unfolding one with information being provided to the public changing frequently.
But reports indicate that
You are unlikely to become infected by being in a room with someone for under 2 hours unless you are having physical contact or very close face to face contact.
The best way to avoid contracting the virus is to wash your hands regularly and thoroughly, 20 seconds, and to avoid touching your face.
To our clients -
I am writing you on behalf of the ASV organisation to inform you of some of our policies and procedures regarding coronavirus. I want to assure you that we are closely monitoring the situation as it evolves, and that we take the health and wellbeing of all ASV clients and staff very seriously.
While the corona virus remains active, all staff from ASV are offering remote sessions (that is phone or skype) in the following situations. I encourage you to take advantage of a remote session if you meet this criteria:
You've been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with, or is experiencing symptoms of, coronavirus.
You've been travelling to areas that are at higher risk for coronavirus transmission. You can learn more about higher risk areas on the same website,
ASV staff are required to provide remote sessions if they meet any of the above criteria. If your therapist is concerned that you might be sick or at higher risk (e.g., you've been travelling to a high risk country), he/she will encourage you to schedule a remote session.
Please note, it is an ASV commitment that we will strive to be sensitive to everyone's experiences around this and we are committed to doing whatever we can to continue to provide you with high-quality support.
